Maybe because it’s Valentines day or Lupercalia, honoring the wolf that suckled the original Gemini Twins, Romulus and Remus. * I’ve gotten a lot of offers from posers on social media. They could be bots, or they could be real people pretending to be nice in order to get money from me. Needless to say most of them really don’t do their homework. I just think it’s so disgusting that they pray on lonely people, especially around this time of the year. I was going to compare them to Vultures, but Vultures are way cooler. If they really paid attention they would know that I am happily linked with this really cool guy who is loving and supportive. That I’m not interested in finding love, and if I ever was single, I’d most likely be completely happy on my own. At the age of sixty, I know that toxic relationships are only a sign of unhealed trauma.
If I could time travel to a younger version of myself, I’d tell myself to understand that I need to do a lot of inner work in order to find the love that makes me feel whole. No amount of flowers, chocolate or whatever, will take the place of love that is equal, supportive, nurturing, honest and kind. Yes, I know no one is perfect, but there are some people out there who are good. I’ve learned to remain silent and wait for someone’s true colours to show. People will reveal their true nature through their words and actions, no amount of love bombing will hide this, if I sit and wait, and pay attention.
ASTROLOGY NOTES: The moon enters in to the tried and true sign of Taurus today, and it will square with Pluto and Mars, so the darker side of love will reveal itself. Now is the time to wait and observe. Emotional power struggles come up, and toxic people’s masks are going to slip. This environment allows for personal development where you can empower yourself by making the right choices. Avoid jumping into a situation that doesn’t feel right, instead, wade in the waters and see how you feel.
ART:
Playing with the Queen of Hearts. Portrait of a red headed girl. I loved her secret smile, and the direct way she would look out into the world. She seemed to be wise and yet has a sense of mirth. Her deep brown eyes held a lot of kindness.
