My abstinence from social media continues for today. I didn’t even know that there was an attempted assassination of Donald Trump. I found out through a friend. There are lots of speculative thoughts going on in my head. Mostly, whomever shot that gun is one broken person, full of anger. I have one thing to say to America: gun freaking control. Ironically, during this time Andrew and I were re-watching the series Rome, and we reached the episode of Cesar’s assassination. It’s wild how things resound on many levels. This is why I believe in magic. These are dark days indeed, but I cling to hope, like I’m Pandora with my little box, after all the bad terrors escaped.
So instead of getting trapped in the drama of social media, I decided to try my hand at making strawberry kledniky (a Czech thing) they are like fruit perogy. I worked on picking up a new language, I read books, fiction and non fiction. When I was making the dumplings I really tuned into my ancestral roots, I could feel my grandmother and my great aunts by my side, reminding me how to make this recipe. Strawberries are magical fruits of love and abundance in Bohemian Magic. I make this magic to counteract what’s going on around me. #truebohemian #kitchen witchery.
I got the recipe here:

Astrology: For most of this morning we’ll be kind of drifting, the Moon remains void of course till 10:53 A.M. This means that we need to give ourselves some extra space, and this isn’t a good time to get into a dispute with anyone. Let things ride out for now. The Moon heads into the passionate sign of Scorpio and proceeds to square with Pluto and Venus in Leo. We are at a t-square just before Uranus and Mars head into a conjunction with Algol. So we’ve reached the point where changes need to happen. Bullies need to be faced, the geek needs to speak up as she faces the mean girl. This is also a point of transformation: a messy ugly birth, full of truth and courage, where we awaken and understand what we have the power to do, and what we need to turn over to the invisibles.
ART: Ever look at the clouds and see dragons? I do sometimes. This piece is dramatic and textural. A dragon cloud swirls around a crescent moon just after the sun sets, so the sky is resonates of a sunset that has passed by already. This bold painting will do well in any home, just that nice splash of drama to make a room feel cozy and yet interesting.
