Astrology and Art for June 8 2024

The cool thing about Solar Returns is that you can look at someone’s chart and compare the transits of the placement of the planets out there to see what the upcoming year is going to look like for a client, (or yourself). I am looking at mine and I see the good things, and I see the problematic areas, but most likely I’ll connect with another astrologer because it’s always good to have someone else look at things, because you’ll see them from a new perspective.

 I’m having a rough day, my confidence meter is reading dangerously low, and it’s one of those days when I just want to hide under a rock and disassociate. I think I will keep things on the downlow this year, sit in a corner and hide as I eat a big slice of humble pie, maybe read a good book, make some tea, cuddle with a blanket.  I remember biking to the small cinderblock library in Wasaga Beach, in the late summer, taking out several books and reading them on the beach, even if the water was too cold to swim in being that close to water always brought me a sense of peace. I miss escaping into books, and I think I will do that again, this year, take time out to just escape into books instead of being sucked into the drama of social media.  Or having crazy expectations, I find expectations are overrated, I want to just accept things superficially and not lean in to hard with anyone. Adopt the philosophy of stoicism. Maybe I need to get better at masking. I want this summer to be about art, swimming, and reading, and maybe even slide singing and learning to play the Uke.  

Do you have any good books to recommend? I am a big fan of magical realism, good historical fiction featuring strong female protagonists, and novels that sweep you off your feet into another world, I even love the odd Chicklit, if it’s written well.

The Moon remains in the watery realm of Cancer, so our feelings, our vulnerabilities are highlighted. The Moon trines with Saturn in Pisces, so spiritual work will help guide you through turbulent situations. Taking time out to be that hermit on the mountain, may help you processes some difficult truths.  Venus in lighthearted Gemini, squares against Saturn, so love isn’t easy, there are underling currents and storms. It’s good to check in with your heart and see how you intuitively feel about something before moving forward. Mars in Aries begins to square out of sign with Pluto in Aquarius, so expect some crazy struggles to occur, this energy will be with us for a while as Mars shifts over into Taurus on the 10^th of June, expect power struggles to continue until the 18^th, these tensions  lead to transformation, so remain open for direction from the invisibles.
