Happy Lammas to those who celebrate, it's a harvest festival. Yesterday my husband and I made soup and bread and had a small intimate celebration noting all the things we were grateful for, all the hardships we would like to leave behind and all the abundance we have yet to welcome in. The bread recipe I used was actually really cool. It made two small demi baguettes*. I think I will continue to make this bread because it was so easy to make, and it will probably save us some money. The only ingredient that wasn't local in my soup was the noodles we used, but I've made my own noodles before, I can do it again.
I am continuing my drawing through the Mercury retrograde, calling it Inkretro for anyone who wants to join me, there are no prompts, just one sketch a day till September 11 when Mercury moves out of their shadow. This is a long break but I'll still be productive, just not in the usual way.
I'm processing some sadness, some grief and that's ok, it's important that I face those feelings and then comfort myself in a healthy manner.
Astrology: Momma moon makes a nice sextile with Mercury in Virgo, so we have this wonderful opportunity to process our emotions through writing, communication, and learning. The Moon resides in the comforting sign of the Crab, offering us compassion and love. This is a great day for emotional and intellectual self-care. The Moon quincunxes against Pluto in Aquarius exposing our fears and worries, drama could play itself out, especially in relationship situations. There is a temptation to dive into divisionary thinking, but at this time it's better to step back until you get all the information, and then make a balanced decision.
Art: Aries and Aries in love. I’m not 100 percent happy with this, but am posting this so you guys understand the process.
A famous Aries pair are Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick, who have been together for over 25 years:
"I feel like it changes," Sarah elaborated on her long-lasting relationship. "You and your partner are going to change. It seems so silly, but I think you're very lucky if you like the person. I still just really like him. I'm sure I annoy him and he annoys me, but I literally learn about him every day. I'm like, 'You're doing what? You're reading what?'" Sarah Jessica Parker
