Prepare to Dare like the Fool on the Hill

I feel pretty balanced today. I’m sipping my nettle tea with lemon, and going through my daily cards and checking my astrology transits. It’s eclipse season so I’m watching the effects of what this on me and those closest to me. For me, it means to dare, to take that challenge, to have faith that everything will fall into place. I better get busy painting and applying for art shows and grants over the next few days. It’s time for me to focus on leveling up.

Moon Vibes:
The moon governs our emotions, our sensibility, our intuition and our self-care. In the sign of Aries, Luna is really about the power of will, so we are asked to challenge ourselves as we tune into our feelings. The Moon meets up with Chiron, the wounded healer, so it’s up to us to be assertive about healing ourselves. You may need to draw some boundaries, for yourself and others in order to do the things you need to do to bring about healing. We need to be assertive about taking care of ourselves, which means facing those issues that are difficult or scary in order to make sure we are ok.
The Moon also sextiles (an aspect that brings opportunity) with Jupiter retrograde in Gemini. Jupiter is all about luck and expansion, and in Gemini retrograde this is about reflection, changing your mind, looking for a new perspective on an old idea. This means we need to step back and finish applying for those those things that we haven’t quite bothered to do yet. We need to throw our hat into a ring. We need to reflect on those projects that we may have been to afraid to finish. If your an artist, or a writer, you may want to consider applying older work to a juried show or a publication. Especially if you’ve applied with that piece before and it got rejected.
Magic Spell: Today I’m going to talk about one of the aspects of the Witch’s pyramid: To Dare. In order for a spell to work you have to have the courage in your heart to dare to do it. Be very aware of the intention behind the “why” you are doing it, and the result you want to achieve by doing it. This part of the Witches pyramid is governed by the element of water, and vibes with Mars being in Cancer right now. During the full moon, this energy will be activated in a T-Square formation between Moon/Sun/Mars. So spells can be very powerful if your heart and head are clear when you are working on something magical.
