I’ll be writing my full moon report this afternoon for paid subscribers and then send it out on the day of for everyone else.
Yesterday I went to a gallery opening for the Owen Sound artists’ tour, and got to mingle with the other artists involved in the tour. It was a fun event though the introvert within me was out in full force. I’ve been struggling with evil menopause symptoms and the heat outside magnified my inner broiler room. Needless to say I did my best to show up and thank everyone who’s worked so hard to make this community a special one.
This is especially true since we seem to be struggling with a homeless issue in our small downtown core. It’s a complex issue. I hope that some solutions will show themselves, I’m willing to help with what I can. House prices are high, grocery prices are high, there is very little affordable rentals out there, and we seem to be back in the days of depression. There are a lot of empty store fronts just sitting there.
Astrology Notes:
We are heading towards the full moon so it’s a good time to ask for abundance. The Moon is already in the sign of Pisces so everything is flowy and fun and easy going. The Moon trines with Mars, so we are energized and ready to work on processing our feelings, going in deep, and going with the spiritual and magical flow of things.
The Moon opposes the Mercury in logical and practical Virgo, so we are aware of the small stuff that we have to do to make magic happen. This is a good time for emotional healing, for self care, and offering kindness and service to others.
Venus the planet of love and relationships in peace loving and balanced Libra opposes Chiron in Aries, so our approach to self care and healing, especially healing relationships is balanced and fair. We are more aware and open minded and ready to bring some peace back into our lives.
ART:
Someone Painted the Sky : one of my favorite sky paintings, it will be on my 16x20 shelf for the art tour happening this weekend. It was inspired by a friend’s photo, and I just love the sun rising up from behind the mountains in all it’s glory.
All the best in your studio show this weekend Lydia !
How wonderful it would be if we had a few visionaries in Owen Sound to help with the downtown who are unhoused and often unwell . Clearly eventhough there are addiction and mental health programs in place there is not the most effective strategies on the street where the people are. grateful for agencies such as safe and sound and oshare ..but this little town could never be ready enough for these super sized issues. Thanks for your thoughts Lydia.
