Full Moon Report for the Pink Moon APRIL 12 8:22 PM. ET.
The hard work of healing your heart starts with facing the shadows with courage and integrity.
Sabian Symbol of the Moon at 23 degrees in Libra:
"A Chanticleer Saluting the Rising Sun"
The Image is a rooster up at dawn greeting the rise of the sun. This is a vision of courage and confidence, new starts, and a proclamation of presence, it’s an awakening to new potential, it’s the sound of knowing the power of our own voice as it speaks out. In the sign of Libra, this Sabian symbol resounds in our own right to find justice, beauty, and truth. We are ready to allow our voice to speak out with purpose.
This image reminds me of the Orisha Chango. I had a Santero spiritual teacher once who would speak of him. How he governed drumming, justice, thunder, lightning and power. He would sometimes ask me to leave apples for him if he thought I should give that Orisha an offering, if I needed extra protection, especially if I was battling something.
Astrology:
Sun in Aries conjuncts with Chiron, opposing the Moon in Libra:
Chiron is the wounded healer, however he was also the teacher, who taught demigods how to fight. His lesson was about balance, his students learned not only how to fight but also when it was time to heal, and they were taught the art of listening. So Chiron teaches us as a collective how to be better individuals.
With the Sun, the planet of self identity and vitality aligned with Chiron, the lesson at hand is to understand our sense of self worth, warts and all. We need to face those inner daemons, the ones that tell us we take up too much space, that we are not good enough, not smart enough to be where we deserve to be.
We need to examine the barnacles attached to our sense of self. Understand when we are seen and accepted. It is ok to be different, it’s ok to be honest about our struggles, we are all wounded in some way. When we make peace with our darkness we become trauma informed, and we can make space for others so they too can heal without feeling isolated in their experience.
Venus Moves Direct in Pisces, while still conjunct with Saturn:
Venus in Pisces is all about pink hearts, rainbows and unicorns, it’s the ideal of love, that floats mysteriously around us, infecting us with bliss. It’s the inspirational power of that creative vision, it’s the idealistic dream lover. Saturn brings some stability to this ethereal energy. We can love openly in an emotionally mature manner. We can commit to something long term. (We can get that huge canvas and start painting. Note to self.) The feelings we experience are profoundly real, not just some kind of flash of ethereal joy that comes and goes. So love with compassion and an open heart, but be prepared to work on it, so this love grows and endures for years to come.
