Finding confidence in the random freedom of it all.
Astrology , Art and Magic March 26 2026

I was reminded that my Goddess, my personal higher power, Freya, exists in the in-between spaces. She is alive in the quiet before sunrise, and in the soft glow of twilight. She steps in when I’m faced with a choice and don’t know the answer.
She lives between the past and the present, between the present and that moment when the future begins to arrive.
I meditated on this while I was out in the yard with the dogs this morning. I asked her, in that in-between space of decision, what I should do.
And she said:
“Why do you want to be there? What is the true reason?”
I couldn’t come up with a sensible answer.
And that was the answer I needed.
Tomorrow, the owners of the huskies aren’t coming home until late at night, so I’m going to stay until around 9pm before heading home. That way I know the dogs are settled, and the pug is tucked into her space.
I’ll spend the day tidying up—putting everything back where it belongs, making sure I’ve gathered all my things before I leave.
This is my life in the gig economy. I’m a semi-retired artist, tarot reader, and astrologer who also does pet sitting and dog walking.
And honestly, I like the random freedom of it all.
✨ Magic
Moon in Cancer Comfort Spell
Find a cozy spot in your home with soft lighting.
Place one hand on your belly and one on your heart.
Feel the warmth of your hands. Take slow, gentle breaths, and allow yourself to settle into the moment.
Whisper softly:
comfort finds me
comfort holds me
I am allowed to rest
Let yourself stay here.
If your body asks for rest, listen—maybe even take a little nap.
ASTROLOGY:
MOON MOODS:
The Moon rests in the heart of the sign of Cancer. This is a place of comfort for the Moon. We are invited to treat ourselves with kindness and compassion. It’s okay to feel the feelings you need to process.
The Moon meets up with Jupiter, so your intuition is extra loud. Pay attention to what your inner guides are telling you. You may need extra comfort today, and if you find that people are not offering you the compassion you desire, you might want to start by being kinder to yourself.
The Moon aligns with Mars, the planet of action and assertiveness, in a trine. So it’s easier to feel your feelings in a bold and passionate way. This is a great time to do some creative therapy if you need to. Find a safe space to process those difficult feelings, or talk to a therapist who can help you work things out.
The Moon also squares Venus and Chiron, so there may be some self-confidence issues coming up. You may feel like you’re not “good enough.” Old memories from the past can resurface in the present. It’s important not to get lost in the past. Remind yourself that you are not the person you once were, and that even the mistakes you made have helped bring healing into your present.
The Big Energy:
Venus is the goddess of love and creativity, and when she meets up with Chiron, the wounded healer, in the bold sign of Aries, we are given an opportunity for deep healing.
We don’t have to stay stuck in people-pleasing patterns. We can let that go and be ourselves.
By being our authentic selves, we also give others permission to show their true colours.
This is a good time to heal a relationship—with yourself and with those closest to you.
