"I always wanted to be somebody, but now I realize I should have been more specific." — Lily Tomlin (Moon in Aries)
I’ve picked up the brush again — thank goodness — and started working on a new project. This time, I began with a black canvas, which is a departure from my usual approach. I like experimenting with different ground colors for the base layer; most often I use a neutral grey, but I’ve also worked with bold underpaintings in alizarin crimson, cadmium red, and orange. Bright ground colors can really bring the tones of a painting to life.
This black canvas might be the one, but I’m also considering a reference image from the Museum App by Sketchy — a striking portrait of a woman that feels like the perfect subject for such a dark, dramatic base. I’d like to put a full moon behind her head, on her right side. I love how there is a yellow aura around this woman, and the focal point is her right eye.
I do use A.I. to calculate the golden mean. I guess that’s how I’m using Pluto in Aquarius to my advantage.
Magic:
I find that this is a perfect time to start writing down all those things that you want to change in your life, all your resentments, and all your obstacles on paper so you can burn it on a new moon. I have what is called a Gods’ box, where I store little slips of paper, letters to my higher power, and notes about things I want to change. When the New moon rolls around I read each one and then drop it into the firepit.
Astrology
This morning, after walking around in a fog for days, you finally get a break — a moment where you can really start moving forward on the projects you may have neglected. We’re leaving behind the soft, dreamy emotional realm of the Pisces Moon and stepping into the bold, assertive energy of Aries.
You're ready to march forward — driven, decisive, and maybe a little fiery. But watch for impatience. If resentment has been bubbling beneath the surface, it could erupt now. While this is a great time to take initiative, the Aries Moon can make us react rather than respond — so take a breath before acting on impulse.
Moon Sextile Uranus in Gemini
Sextiles are subtle but powerful opportunities — and when the Moon, which governs our emotions, connects with the strange and brilliant Uranus in Gemini, expect sudden insights or an unexpected shift in perspective.
Your intuition might nudge you in a bold new direction. Be open to detours — especially the ones that light a creative or intellectual spark. Something you hadn’t considered before may now seem obvious. This is excellent energy for problem-solving, experimenting, or trying out new ways to communicate your truth.
Moon Conjunct Saturn and Neptune (Retrograde) in Pisces
This aspect draws us inward, into deep emotional waters — and with both Saturn and Neptune retrograde, we’re in reflection mode.
Saturn’s influence brings a note of seriousness. You may feel the weight of responsibilities you’ve postponed or the emotional consequences of past actions. This is a moment to recommit to a spiritual or creative discipline, confront karmic patterns, or finally begin a project that’s been quietly asking for your devotion. Don’t ignore what’s calling you — the cost of avoidance is emotional numbness or disconnection.
Neptune retrograde clears illusions. You might have a sudden realization about a long-held dream — or awaken from denial and finally see the truth. Dreams may carry messages. Symbols and synchronicities could guide you back to your path. The “invisibles” — your guides, ancestors, and spiritual allies — are near. All you need to do is reach out and connect consciously.
Together, this Moon–Saturn–Neptune energy reminds us:
We are being asked to grow spiritually, to believe in our dreams and do the work they require.
Moon Sextile Pluto in Aquarius
By afternoon, the Moon makes a harmonious connection to Pluto, giving you emotional strength and courage to face your shadows. This is ideal for inner work, transformation, and reclaiming personal power — especially in how you show up in groups or collective spaces.
You may find yourself drawn to new communities or causes that challenge old systems. Let go of outdated emotional patterns and lean into a more resilient, authentic version of yourself. This is a quiet kind of power — not dramatic, but lasting.
Moon Square Jupiter in Cancer
This aspect creates a tension between emotional independence (Aries) and emotional safety (Cancer). You may feel pulled between your need for freedom and your need for support — and it might feel like people close to you aren’t showing up the way you want.
Family issues, boundary challenges, or emotional overreactions can surface. Jupiter in Cancer inflates the emotional landscape — and while it can offer growth, it can also lead to overindulgence, guilt, or clinging to comfort zones.
The key is to balance bravery with emotional intelligence. You can stand up for yourself without bulldozing others — and you can move forward even if everything isn’t “safe” or certain yet.
